Avantgarde’s Overhaul: 2023

This project is one of the many successfully delivered by Avantgarde over the years. It stands out for the complexity of the tasks and the outstanding engineering and technological results achieved thanks to the expertise of our highly skilled technicians. All work was carried out in-house, across the various departments of Avantgarde’s railway workshop in Modugno (BA), Puglia – Italy.

The project began with structural repairs to the frame, crack testing, and welding inspections. A complete overhaul was carried out on the diesel engine, as well as the hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and braking systems, including all working components.

Avantgarde also fully refurbished the operator’s cabin, including new finishes, seating, and air conditioning system. The machine was then repainted in RAL 1004 yellow with updated railway markings.

Upon completion of all activities, a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) was conducted. Upon delivery, Avantgarde technicians completed the on-site commissioning and operator training.
